Biography

Co-founder and Managing Director, Danielsen Center for Nonviolent Communication and Development DCNCD-Sierra Leone, Macavoray is a youth, child, and women's rights activist who holds a bachelor's degree in child rights development from Ghent University, as well as a diploma and an advanced diploma in human resource management from the Freetown College of Management and Accountancy; he has completed numerous courses in peacebuilding, nonviolent communication, discipleship, and leadership. Macavoray has worked as volunteer, Focal Point officer and Managing Director for local and international organizations. He has worked with the International Education and Resource Network, War Child Holland Sierra Leone; World Voices Norway Project Sierra Leone, the Movement for Youth and Children's Rights Organization; and the MYCRO Sierra Leone Food Bank project.

Role & Contribution at DCNCD

As Managing Director and Co-founder of DCNCD-Sierra Leone, Dominic Maada Macavoray leads strategic development, organizational partnerships, and community intervention programs. With an extensive background in child rights development from Ghent University, human resource management, and leadership across local and international organizations like War Child Holland and World Voices Norway, he drives DCNCD's vision of an empathetic, conflict-resilient society.
